Kenneth Borycz ‘18: On Saturday, January 13, the Bulldogs traveled to Bay City Western High School to participate in the annual Michigan Duals.

The Bulldogs started the day off very strong with a dominant performance against Traverse City Central, winning every single match by pin or void with a final score of 84-0. The second match featured the Allegan Tigers, with another strong dual the bulldogs silenced the Tigers 53-19. The third dual started slow and the Bulldogs found themselves down early but came back and beat Flint Kearsley 48-27.

After the pool rounds, the Bulldogs found themselves in the semi-finals against Hudsonville, they  wrestled hard but came up short 46-28. In the Consolation Finals, the Bulldogs took on Grand Ledge and again came up short 47-24. Romeo finished fourth out of fourteen teams.

Dominic Todaro ‘19 was the lone wrestler going 5-0. Lance Garrisi ‘20, Matt Cali ‘20, Hunter Garrisi ‘18 and, and Zef Djurasevic ‘19 all only had one loss on the day.

On Wednesday, January 17, the Bulldogs will take on Chippewa Valley at home. The Bulldogs will also celebrate Parents Night honoring the parents on all the hard work they do for the wrestlers and attendance will be free to all students.
