John Houbeck 16’ –  Dominating their home opener, the varsity volleyball team, defeated the Marysville Vikings Tuesday night. Controlling the game, the Bulldogs came out hot.

Winning three games out of a best of five series, outscoring the Vikings, 25-17, 25-13, 17-25, 25-19.

Leading the way for the team, All-American hitter, Gia Milana ‘16 had 15 kills and 3 blocks. Having an all around game, Erica LaBaere ‘16 contributed 10 kills, five aces, and three blocks. Payton Klein ‘17 and Breanna Olley ‘16 combined for seven blocks, and Alexandra Konarzewski ‘19 added four kills.

Ending the game, Milana served five aces in the last six points for the Bulldogs.

“When they’re on they’re on,” Coach Williams said about Milana. “She finds herself in streaks and when she’s on they’re very hard to return.”

The team plays Dakota High School on September 22rd at 6:30 at Dakota.
