Robert Gjelaj 19’ Competing in the Mac Red Jamboree on Tuesday, September 25, the Romeo cross country teams took on eight other high school teams, both the boys’ and girls’ team came out on top scoring 45 points and 33 points respectively.

With top competitors in the state racing, the Bulldogs Jack Wilson ‘20 led the team placing first with a time of 16:09, and his brother Charlie Wilson ‘20, placed third with a time of 17:00.

Standing out for the girls team, Charlene Yarema ‘19 and Barrett Schettler ‘20 placed in second and fourth with impressive times of 20:42.6 and 20:58.7 respectively.

To continue their week, the Bulldogs took part in another meet on Friday, September 28 with impressive results by the girls who placed second out of 13 teams, while the guys team placed 7th.

The two teams race next on Saturday, October 6 at the Macomb County Championship at Stony Creek’s Eastwood Beach.
