Ava Vendittelli ‘22: The Daily Blend Cafe at Frontier Town sits empty, waiting for a rush of customers on opening day. Home to many small businesses, Frontier Town remains a well known plaza within the Romeo area. Frontier Town’s newest addition, The Daily Blend, opens soon and offers healthy and natural meals and treats.

Owner Sam Giordano saw the need for a new type of cafe in Romeo, and using his business owning knowledge, decided to open the Daily Blend Cafe. Giordano currently owns a painting and construction business, running for about 30 years. When he looked around at the businesses in Romeo, he noticed something missing. With the great support of family and friends, Giordano started bringing his vision to life: a modern cafe offering organic goods. Despite the setbacks with COVID-19 restrictions and the never-ending requirements from the health departments, Giordano and his supportive family finally prepare to open the Daily Blend.

“I saw the need for this type of cafe in the area. It will have a casual, fun, and modern atmosphere,” Giordano said.

The Daily Blend will include a variety of different options able to suit any craving. From breakfast, to smoothies, to sandwiches, the cafe provides many different healthy options to choose from. It will offer an assortment of different coffee blends for a morning pick-me-up, including iced, hot, or a cappuccino. For the most important meal of the day, options of breakfast wraps, oatmeal, and power bowls will be available. Other choices consist of lunch wraps, sandwiches, salads, and smoothies, all with organic ingredients.

“I’ve passed by it before. I’m excited that there will be a cute and healthy cafe like that so close,” Carlyn Shango ‘22 said.

Pushing through the setbacks, Giordano overcame any obstacles and remains motivated to open the cafe for the community to enjoy. The Daily Blend Cafe opens its doors soon, ready to serve nutritious foods and drinks for any meal of the day, or just a treat.
