Andrew Pouliot ‘18: Continuing the Watchdog festivities on Monday, the boys soccer team lost to the Lutheran North Mustangs, 4-1. Losing this game, the Bulldogs record moved to 3-10.
Being a cancer awareness game, the Romeo players played for someone they knew that has fought cancer or is in the process of fighting. In turn giving the players who play for them a feeling of pride. Specifically, Dominic Nikprelevic ‘18 playing for his Uncle Zef currently battling cancer.
“The experience of being able to play for someone special to me is an awesome feeling,” Nikprelevic said. “I’m sure it made him proud and I hope it gave him more motivation to battle the cancer.”
Scoring for the boys, Tommy Turner ‘20 netted the lone goal for Romeo. Despite the loss, this game was still a success for the reason intended for it, raising cancer awareness.
Hoping to end their season on a high note, the Bulldogs play at L’Anse Creuse North next!
