Andrew Pouliot ’18: Upon already participating in a successful season thus far, the varsity wrestling team took it a step further, making history and sending six wrestlers to the State meet.

On February 18th, at Oxford High School, the Bulldogs sent six different athletes to compete in the Individual Regional Tournament, where all six wrestlers fought their way to the State meet, and three were crowned Regional Champions.

The Regional Champs include, Austen Malczewski ‘17, Trevor Houghton ‘17, and Louis Thom ‘17. Also earning their way to the State tournament was Dominic Todaro ‘19 (third place), Hunter Garrisi ‘18 (fourth place), and Bryan Carie ‘17 (fourth place).

“Going to states with three other seniors and an additional two underclassmen talks so much about this team,” Carie said. “We had great leadership all season and now we get to go to states and show what we have individually.”

The Individual State Tournament takes place from Thursday, March 2nd, to Saturday March 4th. Make sure to give congratulations and goodluck to these Bulldogs!
