Giovanna Ruffino ‘19: Finally, the last month of the school year for the senior class of 2019 begins! This means many events begin to approach before the seniors leave Romeo High School.

Monday, May 13th

The Honors Convocation, held from 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM takes places in the auditorium. Honors night acknowledges the students who achieved great things and brought honor to Romeo. Seniors with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.899 also receive their honor cords. Seniors with a 3.9 and above receive their honor stole.

Monday, May 20th

Scholarship Night, held between 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Businesses, individuals, and other organizations in Romeo present scholarships to some of the senior class. Students who receive a scholarship at this event need to attend an additional meeting during the school day.

Thursday, May 23rd.

The seniors take their first portion of exams. This includes hours one, two and three during a full day of school.

Friday, May 24th.

On the last day of school for seniors, the students take their fourth, fifth, and sixth hour exams.

Thursday, May 29th

Senior Brunch takes place between 8:00 AM – 8:45 AM in the RHS cafeteria.

Mandatory Graduation commencement Rehearsal follows the brunch from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM.

Between 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Romeo High School holds an optional Baccalaureate Service for all students.

Thursday, May 30th

Senior prom located at Penna’s of Sterling Heights, lasts from 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Tickets go on sale at all lunches beginning on May 1 and lasting through May 10.

Sunday, June 2nd

Graduation Commencements located at Ultimate Soccer Arena in Pontiac begins at 11:00 AM. For $3.00 per ticket, the school presents the opportunity to invite friends and family to the special day.

After commencements, the senior all night party takes place at Dave and Buster’s beginning around 9:00 PM.
