Justin McNulty ‘20: Ryan Nawrocki ‘18 of Romeo High signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 to play NCAA Division 3 college football for Concordia Chicago University in Illinois.

Nawrocki competed on both sides of the ball this past season, taking reps at both linebacker along with slot and wingback.

Nawrocki joins a Concordia Chicago team coming off a 3-6 record this past season, and looks to be impactful in improving that record next fall.

“I really enjoyed the culture around the program while I visited Concordia and am very optimistic about the opportunity to live in Chicago for at least the next 4-5 years,” Nawrocki stated.

On the educational side, Nawrocki plans on majoring in the university’s Criminal Justice Program which focuses on areas such as Sociology of Corrections, Law & Society and Procedural Criminal law, according to the university’s website.

The Cougars play in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) and play their games at Cougar Stadium in River Forest, Illinois.

Nawrocki is excited to become a member of head coach, Randy Awrey’s next wave of Cougars, who hopes this will be his best class yet.

Best of luck to Ryan in continuing his football career at the next level!
