Patrick Vinckier ‘19: Romeo Volleyball started the season with a bang last night taking all three sets from Grosse Pointe North: 25-15, 25-13, 25-21.
“I think it reflects good on the season because it’s good to start off with a win. Our hits and our passes were really good and consistent,” Chloe Holliday ‘19 said.
Holliday explains that the team benefited off of the great opening-game performance. For a young team like Romeo, coming out victorious remains vital to the team’s success throughout the season.
“Everyone played good last night, but Kiyah Franklin ‘21 hit well and was really consistent.”
Holliday also said, explaining how everyone stepped in, and key plays from Franklin kept them in command of the game.
The girls look to keep it going on Thursday in their first home matchup against Anchor Bay. The Bulldogs play in the Watchdog game for cancer awareness, so come out and support the team!
