Robert Gjelaj ‘19: The girls varsity soccer team played the Utica Chieftains on Monday, April 29 and came out with a strong 1-0 win against a tough Utica team. Sammy Springer ‘23 scored the only goal for the Bulldogs while Emmy Rodger ‘22 and the defense led the way giving up zero goals.

“Utica put up a good fight, but we were able to dominate the majority of the game and we were able to score right after halftime,” Hailey Bouthilet ‘20 said.

The team faced Fraser Ramblers on Wednesday, May 1 and struggled to put the ball in the net. The game ended in a 0-0 draw after a well played game from both teams.

“The soccer game against Fraser was one of the most intense games we have had all year,” Chloe Lucci ‘19 said.

To end off the week, the girls played the L’Anse Creuse North Crusaders on Friday, May 3, and came out with a tough draw.

“Both teams fought very hard and the score came out with a fair 0-0 tie. Fraser and Lance Cruise North will be the teams we are trying to beat this year to obtain the Mac White championship,” Lucci said.

With a long week, the girls stayed undefeated and remain in a three way tie for first place in the MAC White.
