Giulianelli ‘22: Romeo Lacrosse kicked off their season yesterday, Thursday, March 24, 2022. The boys played at home against L’anse Creuse North.

Starting off the game, the boys played enthusiastically and captain, Seth VonHiltmayer ‘22, ended up scoring the Bulldogs first goal of the season.

Later on in the game, Mikey Lukowski ‘23, Jacob Poules ‘23, and Pierce Lascoe ‘22 each scored a goal.

Their hard work and determination led them to beat the Crusaders 7-2. The boys had great chemistry and teamwork which helped them to come out with the win.

Senior VonHiltmayer shared his thoughts on his game.

“Our first game was a little rough around the edges, but we were able to get it done in the end. Our defense played very well and played a major part in our victory,” VonHiltmayer said.

The Bulldogs match up with L’anse Creuse North again next week. Senior Nick Wilkinson expressed his feelings on next week’s game.

“Now that we got the first game out of the way, I think we can calm down and clean up a lot of the easy mistakes we had,” Wilkinson said.

The Bulldogs are excited to keep going on with their season and hopefully reach their goal of hopefully making it to the MAC. The boys have many more games coming up. Come out and support the Romeo Lacrosse Team as they take on the rest of their season.
