Austin Taseski ‘21: The Romeo Bulldogs keep their winning streak alive, taking a commanding win against the Stevenson Titans, improving to 3-0 on the season.
They dominated on offense, with their defense holding the Titans to only two touchdowns the entire game.
The Bulldogs let up the first touchdown of the game, giving the Titans an early lead of 6-0.
They bounced right back with a touchdown from Austin Radtke ‘21 to make the score 7-6.
From there, the boys rolled on to force a safety, then scoring three touchdowns from Austin Radtke, the second of the day, Ben Weber ‘20, and Jakob Ploetz ‘20 which improved the Bulldogs lead to 30-6 at halftime.
They continued their dominance in the second half as Bret Miller ‘20 threw a touchdown pass to Nino Brasza ‘21 to increase the lead to 36-6, at the beginning of the second half.
Adding to the scoreboard, Brian St. Clair ‘21 ran in his first touchdown of the day to make the score 43-6.
The Stevenson Titans then drove down the field and scored their second touchdown of the game to reduce the lead to a score of 43-13.
Finally, in the fourth quarter St. Clair scored his second touchdown of the day to give the Bulldogs a whopping 50-13 lead, which stayed as the final score.
“I think we played great but we have to keep improving week by week and stay focused at practice, because we have some tough games coming up,” Ty Messner ‘21 said.
The Bulldogs look to continue their excellent play next week against the 1-2 Eisenhower Eagles at Swinehart Stadium.
