Adam Nelson 15′ – Every week, Channel 4 News selects a high school football game to promote, and its up to the students to vote for their school. This week Romeo vs. Utica was one of the games in the running, and the students did their best to rack up votes.
“I voted until it stopped letting me. I kept trying to vote more and more, because I wanted our game to be the one they picked,” Brendan Banach ‘16 said.
This game was the “Brown Jug Rivalry” game, adding further competition to the Varsity season. As the campaign for Channel 4’s attention came to its conclusion, a total of 98,000 votes were tallied. Romeo finished less than 300 votes behind the Flat Rock vs. Grosse Ile.
