Brendan Arendts ‘21: This upcoming weekend the annual Harvest Days celebration takes place in Romeo, MI. The event, run by the Romeo Downtown Development Authority, attracts families to downtown Romeo where local farmers sell produce. Other activities at the Romeo Harvest Days include a bike and skateboard raffle, face painting, balloon animals, pumpkin carving, pie eating, donut on a rope contests, a moonwalk, chili cook off, and much more.

The Romeo Lions Club field plays host to country band Austin Scott and the Detroit Cowboys. The proceeds to the event benefit All the World’s a Stage–a theater arts education organization based in Romeo.

Carlina Parrinello ‘21 loves everything that Harvest Days brings to the community.

“I like that there is cider and I love the cute children, while they paint their pumpkins” Parrinello said.

This year, Romeo Harvest Days occurs on Saturday, October 13 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in downtown Romeo then from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Lions Club Field. Join the Romeo community in celebration of the fall harvest.
