Paul Hurley ’16 – Romeo Soccer breezes by Port Huron with no trouble in their first game of the school year. With this 6-1 victory, they now have a 2-1 record on the season, with their only loss coming to a very highly ranked Frasier High School. The team passed the ball around with a consistent effort and were successful scoring goals from different players each time. Forward, Andrew Behring (12) led the way Wednesday night with one goal and 4 assists.
When asked about his team’s success, “We started off slower than we should have, but we bounced back and took advantage of Port Huron’s weaknesses. It was a great team effort,” Behring said.
Romeo now needs to put that game in the past and focus on their upcoming game at Anchor Bay High school on September 5th.
