Justin McNulty ‘20: After a long, draining 55 minute bus ride, Romeo unboarded the bus ready for war with Grosse Pointe North High School. However, the contest ended up extremely lopsided in favor of the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs dominated every aspect of the game Friday and walked out with a 49-0 victory over the Norseman.

The Bulldogs, scored on their very first play from scrimmage and continued the firepower all night long.

Brock Horne ’19 rushed for two touchdowns while Eric Meldrum ‘19, and Brian St. Clair ‘21 both provided a touchdown of their own.

Quarterback, Jack Wendt ’19 connected with his receivers for two passing touchdowns, with Ryan Heimbuch ‘19 and Eric Fraeyman ‘19 finding the endzone.

Justin McNulty ‘20 added a pick-six rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs.

Romeo’s secondary shut down the Norsemen throughout the night, with Abe Mayfield’ 20 adding two interceptions.

“The way we came out and dominated shows us how much we continue to improve every week and it felt good to see us execute at such a high level,” Ben Weber ‘20 said.

Romeo improves to 5-1 on the season and resumes MAC Red play this Friday, October 5, when the Bulldogs host Macomb Dakota beginning at 7pm.
