Justin McNulty ’20: Every year during homecoming weekend, alumni are given the opportunity to return to their high school years. The past cheerleaders and football players rejoin the sidelines. Homecoming is arguably one of the most exciting games of the year, bringing all of the community out to support.
Coming off an impressive win last week against Grosse Pointe South, the now 4-2 Bulldogs face off against Warren Mott this Friday in their annual homecoming game. This is a big week for the Dogs as they want to perform well and come out victorious playing in front of their home crowd.
“I’m pumped up for the unique atmosphere the homecoming game brings,” Tyler Czapski ‘19 said.
For Romeo, this game could determine the remainder of this season, as picking up their 5th win will get them that much closer to the magic number 6, needed to secure a spot in the MHSAA playoffs. Along with the Bulldogs, the Marauders will be fired up for this game as they also sit 4-2, and striving to to make the playoffs as well.
“As an underclassmen in the past, I always enjoyed coming up for the playoffs and as a varsity player this season, I feel like it’s even more important we win this game and work towards continuing our playoff streak,” Czapski ‘19 added.
Romeo will verse Warren Mott, this Friday, October 6th at 7:00 pm at Barnabo field. Come out to support the Bulldogs and their chance to get into playoffs.
