Justin McNulty ‘20: The recruiting process continues to pick up for student athlete, Brock Horne ‘19. Currently listed as a 3 star prospect by 24/7 Sports and Rivals, Horne posses nine offers as only a junior, suggesting that more are on the way.
Rivals.com, lists the 6’2, 205 pound, middle linebacker as the 30th overall player in the state, and one of the very top at his position.
Horne’s nine offers consist mostly from MAC schools like, Central Michigan, Toledo, Bowling Green, Miami (OH), and Buffalo, along with three Ivy League offers from Dartmouth, Cornell, and Harvard.
Horne also received a Power 5 conference offer from the Iowa State Cyclones, of the Big 12 Conference.
Several other universities are very intrigued with Horne’s playmaking ability, and have been reaching out to him, as well. Those schools include Wisconsin, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Indiana, Brown, Eastern Michigan and Kentucky.
As of right now, Horne is interested in every school who has offered him, but he’s decided it’s too early in the process to pick favorites.
“I don’t really have anyone listed as a frontrunner at the moment and am not sure who I would go play for if I had to choose today,” Horne stated.
Horne awaits what he called his “dream offer” and is really working towards a chance to play Big Ten football. Adding, he would prefer an offer from Michigan State due to the opportunity of playing his home state.
Setting the bar high for his senior season, Horne looks to go first team all state and be a member of the Free Press high school football Dream Team next year.
Horne looks forward to what next year will bring to his football career.
