Haley Golebiewski ‘20: Marvel Studio’s newest cinematic reveal Thor: Ragnarok, hit theaters on November 3, 2017. Ragnarok stars many of the Marvel Universe’s favorite actors such as Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Cate Blanchett as Hela. Thor: Ragnarok is the third movie following Thor and Thor: The Dark World.

Ragnarok also starred many crossover characters such as Bruce Banner or the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) coming together in Ragnarok from each of their independent movies.

The movie follows the main character Thor, who becomes trapped in the planet of Sakaar and being forced to fight his way out as a gladiator. Thor’s opponent, however, is his old Avenger teammate, the Hulk. Fighting the Hulk is not Thor’s only problem though, an old ghost from his father, Odin’s, past shows up. A woman named Hela threatening to cause the destruction of Asgard. Thor then must team up with an unconventional team to try and defend his people, the Asgardians, from Hela, who trying to destroy Asgard.

“It was a thrilling, crowd engaging, action packed, movie filled with pure adrenaline. I loved every minute of it,” said Jacob Blanchard ‘20.

Blanchard, along with millions of others, trekked out to see Ragnarok on its opening night.

Ragnarok, is not the only thing that Marvel has in store for its universe. All of the Marvel Studios productions, have each been leading, little by little, up to this one moment.
