Kade Messner ‘17: Traveling to Avondale High School on January 24th, the varsity and JV dance teams performed very well in Pom and Jazz.

Dancing their way to second place in both categories, the varsity girls fell one point shy in both Large Varsity Pom and Large Varsity Jazz to Stoney Creek High School.

“We worked really hard on pom and I think we looked amazing,” varsity dancer Alayna Demetrakeas ‘16 said. “I was proud of how came together and gave it our all.”

JV outdid varsity by taking home first place in both Pom and Jazz. The JV team competed and danced brilliantly all throughout this season, placing first at the majority of their competitions.

“My team and I danced the best we have all year,” JV dancer Charlee Murray ‘18 said. “It was a nice way to close out this year. I am really excited to be varsity next year.”

Being the last competition on their schedule, both teams finished the season on a high note and look to improve this offseason to come back even stronger next year.
