Andrew Pouliot ‘18: As the season moves forward, the varsity hockey team’s struggles continue, falling to 0-5 this season.
This past Saturday the team took on Detroit U-D Jesuit at Suburban Ice in Macomb. Playing in a close, back and forth contest, the game eventually ended in overtime, with the Bulldogs losing 4-3.
“I fully believe that Saturday’s OT loss was a step in the right direction,” Chase Gillem ‘18 said. “As long as we keep our heads up and look towards our goal, we will win more games.”
The Bulldogs scored all three of their goals in the first, jumping out to a 3-1 lead at the end of the first period. U-D Jesuit then continued to score three unanswered goals, winning early in the overtime period.
Scoring the goals for the Bulldogs were Chase Gillem, Brett Lanski ‘17, and Andrew Cate ‘17.
Hoping to capture their first win of the season, the Bulldogs play the Eisenhower Eagles at Suburban Ice tonight at 8:30 p.m.
