The Romeo Bulldogs added to their 2013-14 campaign with back to back wins this weekend. Breezing by the Lancers from L’Anse Creuse High School, 6-1, on Friday and snatching a non-league win over Davison High School, 3-1, on Saturday the Bulldogs improve to 5-0 in the MAC White, 12-1-1 overall.

The sophomores played a huge part of the Bulldogs’ victory on Friday.  Nick Blankenburg(10) lead the way for the Bulldogs with a 3 goal hat trick, while Logan Jenuwine(10) and Blake Gabler(10) also stepped up adding a goal, and an assist.

Matteo Mazur(11) was a play maker as well finishing the contest with 3 assists.  Mitch Pacitti(12) also scored a goal for the Bulldogs.

“Its a very great feeling having the sophomores on this team always play like seniors.  They are great hockey players and we are all a great team together.  Tonight proved what they can do,” Pacitti said about his teammates.

Pacitti, who is leads the team in scoring, was very impressed with his team’s efforts.

Saturday night told a different, but equally suitable story.  The Bulldogs were led  on the scoring end by their seniors, Pacitti with 2 goals and Hunter Jenuwine(12) chipped in a goal of his own alongside 2 assists.

“The team had a great effort, but our seniors know that every game is important, especially against a team like Davison, (the seniors) played great in a big 3-1 win,” Blankenburg said.

The Bulldogs face the Anchor Bay Tars next on Friday, January 24th, 6 p.m. at Suburban Ice.
