Devin Palmer ‘19: On Monday night, the varsity girls basketball team lost a nailbiter to the Dakota Cougars, 41-35, at home.

Leading Romeo in scoring, Amber Flinn ‘18 scored a total of nine points. Lindsay Weber ‘18 also added seven points for her team.

“I’m extremely proud of the way we played last night, my team really came together to compete hard and never give up,” Kaila Kieba ‘17 said. “We executed what we needed to and left everything out on the floor.”

This loss to the Cougars moves the Bulldogs record to 8-6.

“For our next game we need to be more aggressive with the contact under the rim with layups and it’s important to make our free throws count when we draw the foul, “ Kieba ‘17 said. “In general we just need to slow things down and play our game the way we do.”

Playing next on Thursday, February 2nd  2017 at Cousino High School, the girls take on the Patriots in a MAC battle.
