John Houbeck ‘16: The Lady Bulldogs’ opened their season at home against Fraser Tuesday night, defeating the Ramblers 46-23

The girls practiced all week on breaking the Rambler’s zone, and that is just what they did.

“We really only practiced against the zone for two days,” coach Connie Hernden said. “But that’s the nice thing about having an experienced team. We’ve got kids who know the system, who know what the expectations are.”

Dominating from start to finish, Romeo led 21-10 at the half.

Leading the Dogs, Lauren Weber ‘16 scored nine points, Alexandria Locke ‘17 scored eight, and Amber Flinn ‘18 added six.

Starting their season on a high note, the girls record is 1-0. The team plays Sterling Heights High School next.
