Nick Blankenburg ‘16 & Paul Hurley ‘16: Starting off the second part of the girls soccer season strong, the team defeated the Cousino Patriots, 8-0 in a MAC Blue division matchup.
Leading the Bulldogs to victory, Mya Fregoli ‘18 who netted three goals. Alyssa Curtis ‘16, Amber Flinn ‘18, Gabby Ames ‘18, Chloe Lucci ‘19, and Sydney McClay ‘18 all scored once.
“It was fun game to be apart of that game,” Fregoli said. ”Playing games like that are fun but the best part about it is how we stuck together as a team and stuck to our systems.”
Possessing the ball and filling spots with speed and communication, the girls aplied these skills to their advantage to score goals and prevent teams from scoring.
With this great start to the last half of the season, the girls look to continue that this Friday night, when they play a MAC White non-division game against L’Anse Creuse North at 6:00 P.M at Memorial Field.
“This game on Friday is very important to us because it gives us an opportunity to prove to us, other teams, and rest of the state what kind of team we are and how we will be relentless no matter who we play,” Captain Defensive Midfielder Taylor Mueller ‘16 said.
Hard work and determination is what’s gonna help the girls reach their goal of a MAC Blue Division Championship. Holding a 6-2-1 record, the girls plan to never look back and to enjoy the last 9 regular season games while reaching for a Division Championship.
