Brandon Motoligin ‘17: This upcoming Friday, September 30th, the varsity football team takes on Grosse Pointe South at Dan Barnabo Field in this years annual Watchdog game!

Looking to build on their 3-2 record after a 16-14 loss to Eisenhower, senior quarterback Austen Malczewski ‘17 led the team with 112 pass yards and 58 rushing yards..

The Blue Devils come into the game with a record of 4-1,  after losing to rival school, Grosse Pointe North 8 to 4. Playing strong on defense this year the Blue Devils have only given up 54 points so far this season.

The Bulldogs play for someone special this week by raising money for cancer and wear special jerseys with the names of the people they are playing for.

“It is an honor to play for someone,” defensive back for the Bulldogs, Andrew Smith ‘17 said. “I feel like their hero. I mean we go through three hour practices and they deal with tons of chemo for the rest of their life, so in my book it’s an absolute honor to play for someone.”

Make sure to come out and support your Bulldogs this Friday at 7pm and help fight for a cure.
