Sarah Fuzi ‘17- The annual food drive begins with a bang this week at Romeo High School, spanning from October 24th until November 4th.
First hour classrooms race against each other to earn the most food to provide to the Samaritan’s house and families in Romeo. Ranging from canned goods to gift cards, all proceeds gives meals for local families in need.
“Helping others is important,” Cathi Vazquez said. “Because helping others is what the good thing to do. That is what we are here for, we are here to serve.”
The importance of giving back to your community is a small gesture of compassion that speaks more than words, so please provide any canned ideas or other food products to your first hour classroom to make a difference!
