Devin Palmer ‘19: Receiving and accepting a college offer from the University of Detroit Mercy, Jordan Chapman ‘19 owns a bright future in the sport of softball. Playing on the varsity softball team as a freshman, UDM awarded Chapman an offer, which eventually led to her committing later on. Detroit Mercy showed interest in Chapman’s athletic ability and Chapman couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity.
“I was very happy and proud because I’ve been wanting to play college softball since I was little and I really like that school,” Chapman said. “I went and visited and it was a very beautiful campus and I’m just overjoyed.”
Committing to a college has only driven Chapman to work harder, as she wants to prove herself as being one of the best softball players in the state.
“I feel like I have more to prove because you always want to get better and you also want to improve and be the best you can be,” Chapman
Being a great dentistry school, UDM gives Chapman an opportunity to pursue her aspiration to be a dentist.
Chapman’s passion for softball seems to be a driving force pushing her to a bright future. As Chapman is currently enduring her sophomore year softball season, she hopes to keep proving her validity as a top softball player in the state and improve her skills for the next level.
