Jared Czapski 18’: Evan Smith ‘18 signed his letter of intent to continue his athletic and academic career as an Albion Briton. Smith will be playing as an outside linebacker his freshman year, fighting for a starting spot on the field. Albion is NCAA division 3 football, and is a big step from high school football at Romeo High School.
Evan explains briefly about why he decided to choose Albion, and what it was that drew him to his decision.
“The people there were really nice, the atmosphere seemed clean and clear,” Smith said. “When I showed up the players brought me into their brotherhood when I went up for a visit, and the coaches actually appreciated me coming, it made me feel like more of a son than a player. Also the food court is unreal.”
Evan has played football since he was just a boy. He didn’t get much playing time as a kid, but by his senior year, he never left the field.
“The college football experience is something I’ve always wanted since I was a little kid.”
Smith is very excited for his future experience at Albion, and his former teammates are very excited for him as well. Congratulations to Evan on his signing to Albion!
