Justin McNulty ’20: On November 14, Eric Fraeyman ‘19 officially signed his National Letter of Intent to play division one college lacrosse for Stony Brook University.
“A goal of mine and my parents has always been to use lacrosse as a way to get into a top school, which Stony Brook excels in both academically and athletically,” Fraeyman said.
The Sea Wolves play in the heavily competitive America East conference which includes several nationally ranked teams.
Stony Brook hopes the addition of Fraeyman helps them to improve on their 7-8 overall record from a year ago.
The university’s location in Long Island New York, also gives Fraeyman the opportunity to explore a new community, something he’s excited about.
“Stony Brook’s location of having access to New York City on the weekends, but still being far away enough from distractions to learn is something I’m definitely looking forward too,” Fraeyman added.
On the educational side, Fraeyman plans to pursue a degree in psychology.
Fraeyman, who plays middle in lacrosse for Romeo, looks forward to his upcoming senior season, but is beyond thrilled to continue his athletic career after high school.
Congratulations to Eric and best of luck to him in the future!
