Megan Bieganski ‘18: On February 4th Romeo High School’s EMT program attended HOSA regionals. HOSA stands for Health Occupation Students of America. HOSA is a competition with 46 different health and science events. There are both written exams and hands on scenarios in which you compete alone or in teams against schools from your region, and the top ten spots get the opportunity to go to states.
Six of eight teams from Romeo made it in the top ten, and two of the teams medaled second and third. Kaila Kieba ‘17, Brandon Page ‘17, Alyssa Shankin ‘17, Samantha Foster ‘17, Danielle Poli, Samantha Wilkins ‘17, Jonathan Tabenske ‘17, Austin Ventimiglio ‘17, Anthony Larock ‘17, Kassidy Simpson ‘17, Kayley Lorts ‘17 and Alivia Cameron ‘17 will all be representing Romeo at states.
States will be held April 16th-29th.
