Over the weekend the Romeo Cross Country teams earned podium finishes at the Macomb County Invitational.

The boys team edged out the Dakota Cougars to take home a first place trophy. The Bulldogs were led by Alec Toreki (12) who finished 2nd overall with a time of 16:21, and Jacob Domagalski (11) who finished 4th with a time of 16:44.  Toreki and Domagalski achieved 1st team All-County honors. Adam Fraeymen (10)  finished 15th, earning 3rd team All-County honors.

The girls team finished 3rd in the Class A division, with a team total of 104. The girls were led by Megan Greb (10) who ran a 19:59 and took home 9th place. Alicia Arnold (12) ran a time of 20:02 and finished in 10th place overall.  Greb and Arnold achieved 2nd team All-County honors.  Autum Klien (11) took 19th and Alexis Kearny (10) finished 21st, both making 3rd team All-County.  The girls team was the only team in Macomb County that had 4 runners achieve All-County honors.

“It was a great experience to lead the team because I knew we would have a good shot of placing high, we will continue to improve, with the ultimate goal of qualifying for the state meet,” Alicia Arnold said.

The Bulldogs next meet is the MAC Red league championship at metro beach.
