Dancing for the Central Michigan University Chippewas this fall will be two of Romeo High School’s finest dance team members. Amanda Arendts ‘15 and MacKenzie Verellen ‘15 were honored to be selected out of 35 girls trying out for the CMU Dance Team last month. Out of the 35 dancers trying out, only four Freshmen made the team. Preforming at all Central Michigan University home and some away football and basketball games, the girls are excited for this opportunity. Along with dancing for the Chippewas, Arendts and Verellen are two college roommates planning to work hard on their academic studies. McKenzie will pursue studying in the Social Work field, while Amanda has set her sights on an Advertising major with a dance minor.

“These two young ladies are not only awesome dancers.” RHS Head Dance Coach, Chelsea says, “They also are very hard workers and great team leaders. I am sure they will do well at dance for CMU along with their studies. We are all very proud that they get to continue their education and to do something that they love.”
