Robert Gjelaj ‘19: On Tuesday, November 20, Charlene Yarema ‘19 officially signed her national letter of intent to run track and field and cross country at Wayne State University.
“I chose Wayne State because they have really good academic programs and I really like their athletics and it impressed me alot knowing that I’ll be joining a top team in the GLIAC,” Yarema said.
The Warriors play in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference who compete against 12 teams across the Great Lakes review. The teams include Grand Valley State University, Michigan Technological University, and Saginaw Valley State who lead the GLIAC standings last season.
Charlene looks forward to improving her athletic and academic future as a Warrior and remains excited for next season.
Yarema joins two Romeo Alumni, Nick Behring and Cameron Bourgeois, as part of the Wayne State Cross Country team. Yarema anticipates running again with her former teammates.
Charlene plans to attend Wayne State with an undecided major.
