Jared Czapski ‘18: After coming back from a tough loss to Lake Orion, the Bulldogs knew they needed to step up their game. Troy Athens traveled to Romeo’s home field on Thursday, April 12, preceding the day of their loss. Four innings deep, the Bulldogs found themselves at a 2-0 deficit. Bouncing back, Romeo rose to the occasion and brought in 8 runs to seal the victory. Christian Smith ‘18, having only allowed 1 hit, and throwing 9 strikeouts, was a key ingredient to the games success. Blake McRae ‘19 had 2 hits and an RBI, and Patrick Vinckier had a hit and 2 RBI’s.
“We showed up to play from minute one, the good weather got us into a better mood, and from that point our bats caught fire,” commented Patrick Vinckier 19’.
The Bulldogs came out with an 8-2 victory over Troy Athens, improving their record to 3-1. With some confidence on their side, they are looking forward to playing Rochester Adams in another home game on Friday, April 13.
