Gavin Fabbri’ 20: The Bulldogs faced off against the Eagles of Eisenhower High School, in a highly anticipated rivalry game.
The Bulldogs got off to a rough start, losing the first two first two games by scores of 13-25, and 11-25, leaving themselves with an early 0-2 deficit.
The Bulldogs fought back hard, eventually evening up the series at two games a peice, by winning the third game 27-25, and the fourth game by a score of 25-23.
With the score tied at two games a piece, the game came down to the final set.
In the finale, the Bulldogs started strong, but the Eagles proved to be too much, taking the game score of 15-6, and leaving Romeo 1-2 now on the season.
Key playmakers included Shayla Munn ‘21, with great blocks, and powerful spikes, and Juliana Bollini ‘20, also playing great with good saves and sets.
“It was a tough game but we battled back and almost got the win, we just came up a little short, but it was a very fun game to play in,” Ella Bartlett ‘20 said.
The Bulldogs get back on the court Tuesday, September 24th, as they take on Marysville High School, at home.
