This outstanding performance allowed Romeo to improve their record to 3-1 on the season.

Maja Nikolovski ’22 qualified for County’s in the 100 meter fly. Other girls on the team who already qualified for County’s showed out as well, by improving their already fantastic times.

On Thursday, the team competed against Marine City High School, coming away with a nail biting win, 94-87.

“We put in a lot of hours in the pool every week and it’s exciting to see our hard work pay off.” Lillian Schneider ‘20 said.

Several girls performed well throughout the week, receiving qualifying times for the County swim meet.

Specifically, Paige Jones ’21, received a MISCA (Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association) time for the 50 free, an even faster qualifying time than counties.

Look for the girls to face L’Anse Creuse North October 1st, before competing in the County meet, on October 5th.
