Paul Hurley ‘16: Losing their 9th straight game, the boys basketball team fell to Cousino by a score of 62-53. The Bulldogs can not seem to figure out what it takes to win a game at this point of the season.
Despite leading at halftime, 32-28, they blew the lead away in the second half. A lack of intensity has proven to cause problems all season. Jumping out to an overwhelming lead to start the second half, the Patriots led 51-41 at the end of the third quarter.
Never looking back, Cousino cruised to a 64-52 victory.
The common streak teams talk about is a win streak. This team however, is on the opposite end of the streak. This loss brings them one game closer to dropping 10 games in a row.
“We can’t lose 10 in a row,” Noah Soave ‘16 said. “At this point, it is a pride type of thing. We need to start making people proud of us.”
Scoring 17 points, Andre Pantalena ‘17 finished well in the paint.
Aiming to get back on track and halt this streak that is on the minds of the whole team, the team plays Thursday night at home against Port Huron.
A ring ceremony will also be held for the football team’s success during halftime of this game.
