Patrick Vinckier ‘19: Romeo Boys Basketball attempts to change the losing trend when they faced off with Warren Mott on the road Tuesday. Things didn’t go the Bulldog’s way, falling to the Marauders, 66-43.
“The way we did things on offense was pretty disappointing but we saw some good things on defense,” Jake Ploetz ‘20 said. “They were a pretty good team and we didn’t have enough to beat them.”
Warren Mott burst out of the gate. Early in the first quarter, the Marauders went on an 13-0 run, which set the tone for the rest of the game.
Things started to get heated in the second half after exchanging of words and physical attributions from both teams. Two ejections- one player from each team- shortly followed the altercation.
Although Warren Mott gave Romeo pressure on offense, it wasn’t the problem for the loss. The Bulldogs failed to get much going on offense, scoring only 43 total points. Blake McRae ‘19 contributed 23, more than half of the team’s points.
After a tough stretch, the boys look to bounce back in an away matchup with Utica Ford on Friday, December 21.
