Patrick Vinckier ‘19: Romeo Boys Basketball looked to get things rolling Tuesday at home against Grosse Pointe North. Unfortunately they fell short, 52-50, on a last second shot from the Norseman.

“[Grosse Pointe North] came out hot and we couldn’t knock down any shots in the first half, but in the second half we started playing better overall on defense and it translated to our offense.” Brandon Owens ‘19 said.

Owens led the pack with 19 points and Blake McRae ‘19 added 13 points.

The team struggles with coming out of the gate not playing like a team and letting their opponent take advantage of it

The game came down to the wire and Grosse Pointe North found a way by hitting a buzzer beater to win the game.

The Bulldogs look to bounce back on the road against New Haven on Friday, January 11, in another league matchup.
