Liliana Venditti ‘17- Wednesday May 4th marked the annual Career Day for Romeo High School. While the masses of students roaming around the area seems chaotic, it proves to be beneficial for students who are being thrown out into the ‘real world’. Students flocked to the gym to speak with experts and learn more about all the interesting possibilities the future holds.
“You get to learn all about colleges and it gives you an idea of what you are capable of,” said Cameron Kowalke ‘17.
Many students who attended left with a better idea about interesting job opportunities, such as chiropractors, nurses, plumbers, electricians and even engineers. These workers provided a close up view about what it is like to follow in that career path, that we would not otherwise be able to know about without spending thousands of dollars on college classes, only to later realize that is not what you want to do.
Every year students can learn something new from Career Day because there is such a vast variety of jobs every year. Also, it is never too early to get a head start on the rest of your life.
