Sarah Spuz ’17- Age does not put a limit on who can go trick or treating. Teens never outgrow the excitement of searching for the perfect costume and getting endless amounts of treats. Whether you’re nine or nineteen, the idea of masquerading as someone other than yourself is fascinating. Young or old, the thought of getting a bunch of candy, especially when it’s free, appeals to many people.
“I don’t think you’re too old because it’s fun and it’s free candy,” Ariana Parrinello ’17 said.
On Halloween night, among the crowds of little kids, even high school students dress up as their favorite childhood superhero, going door to door saying, “trick or treat,” trying to get as much candy as possible. Trick or treating has no age limit.
“You are never too old to go trick or treating, ever,” Morgan Brown ‘17 said. “It’s just supposed to be fun. The point is to look ridiculous so you shouldn’t get made fun of for looking crazy.”
On October 31st, anyone can dress as creative and wild as they want. Whether you dress as the Minion from Despicable Me, or the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz, people will not judge you on this late fall night.
What do you think? How old is too old to trick or treat?
