Alexandria Malcolm ‘17: Break out the tuxes and your best dancing shoes, Prom 2017 will soon be upon us. After lots of thought and careful consideration from Student Council, this year’s theme is Rustic Romance, a quirky cross between classy and barnyard chic.
“It’s going to be a lot of champagne colors, and a lot of DIY’s off of pinterest.” Senior class president, Courtney Pichette ‘17, said “It will be kind of wedding like, we are trying to get away from all the dark themes from the past.”
Although the theme may be set, you still have a chance to take part in the preparation for this once in a lifetime event, and the whole senior class is welcome. The next meeting will be tomorrow, January 10 in room 705 with class sponsor Mrs. Ruhlman. Follow @Romeo_News on twitter to keep updated.
“I think I am most excited for the dresses, finding one getting ready,” Hannah Merriman ‘17 said. “I know people are already looking and I can’t wait.”
This years prom will be held at Penna’s of Sterling on Van Dyke between 16 ½ and 17 mile road on May 31, 2017. Class of 2017 don’t wait until it’s too late to get involved!
